Aqualyx contains a salt that is found in the human body which we use to break down fat. This salt attaches to fat cells and destroys them. The cells cannot regrow or reform, thus resulting in permanent fat loss.

Aqualyx can be used all over the body to remove stubborn areas of fat. Popular treatment areas include the double chin, upper arms, abdomen, love handles, back, outer and inner thighs.

The session involves injections in the agreed areas and can be a bit uncomfortable, but very bearable. Most clients describe the pain level as 2 out of 10. A treatment lasts about ten minutes. Aqualyx causes an inflammatory reaction an the injection sites. This results in swelling, redness and heat. These are all good signs that the Aqualyx is doing its job. The swelling can be quite dramatic and I always advise clients that they may need some time off work if the area is visible to other people.

The risks of Aqualyx are swelling, redness, bruising, transient hair loss (double chin area), transient lumpiness, sweating, nausea and allergic reaction.

Most clients require an average of 3 treatment sessions, which are 4-6 weeks apart. Some require more or less.

The results are permanent.

Aqualyx works best for clients who are within one stone of their ideal weight and have persistent areas of fat that diet and exercise has no effect on. Aqualyx is not a weight loss procedure.
